The 5 Best Dressed Men From The Emmys
Rami Malek
Upgrading his Mr. Robot on-screen look quite substantially from Elliot’s hacker go-to of a black hoodie, Malek looked impressive in a throwback-inspired white dinner jacket combo from Dior. The precise fit and simple accoutrements helped this classic look feel cool and modern (and not too old school), perfect for the stylish up-and-comer that he is.
Kit Harington
Jon Snow throws down, but this time in a razor-sharp shawl collar tux. The slim proportions of the shawl collar jacket (with satin trim no less) is definitely fashion-forward, but the whole package came together smoothly because of it’s dynamite fit and simple accoutrements. Obviously being Kit Harrington helps too.
Ty Burrell
Damn, Phil Dunphy is not fucking around. Burrell channeled some serious swag with a navy velvet jacket complete with the perfect shawl collar. Yeah, velvet is definitely not for beginners but by keeping everything else simple and letting the jacket alone do the talking, the whole thing ends up looking supremely stylish and not over-the-top.
Aziz Ansari
Proving again that a charcoal tux can look fly-as-hell, Ansari rocked a tie-less three piece look that was everything great about what you can do with modern black tie style. Flossing an off-duty Rat Pack vibe, the low cut vest and smoking loafers added just the right amount of swag to balance out the retro feel.
Tom Cullen
Yeah, we didn’t know who he was either (he’s the boyfriend of Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany), but dammit if he didn’t bring the fire. Cullen opted for bold peak lapels but did it with a navy tux and all-white accents. A totally unexpected combination that looked absolutely awesome, this look also proves that if you’re gonna go big, you’ve gotta make sure your fit is impeccable.
